The West Marine Website: A great website for buying gear for your boat! They are a very good company, and will return almost anything if it doesn't work for you.
The Sail Charbonneau Website: This is a great website about two live-aboards and their two dogs who also live aboard. This site gives great advice to both pet owners and live-aboards.
The Kodiak Port and Harbor Website: We cannot reccommend this harbor enough. In our 2 years living aboard there we were treated like family. The harbor policies are straight-forward and the people who work there are very dedicated. The harbor-master "Marty" is a great guy who is always willing to offer help and good advice. We miss this harbor a great deal, although we don't miss the weather!
The Alaska Marine Surveyors located in Kodiak AK. These people were completely unprofessional. They made huge errors on our survey and treated us very badly.
The Harbor service in Juneau, AK. This harbor department is a mess! Every one gives you a different story, the billing is unpredictable and the staff is less than friendly. This is also one of the most expensive harbors on the western coastline, but you certainly don't get what you pay for!
